About “Dance in the Rain”

I thought I would expand my horizons and try a Blog. Note the title of the Blog. My favorite motto of the moment is “Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass but learning how to dance in the rain.” As the English version was taken, I’ve chosen the French equivalent. That is what this is all about – appreciating the many positive things in life!

Update: My mom started this blog when her cancer returned in 2009. She inspired us all with her descriptions and appreciation of the “simple” things in life. And her light-hearted humor. Mom’s blog was a great way for her to connect with her family and friends and it put a spring in her step when she was feeling short of springs. Mom’s earthly journey ended January 28, 2010, but her love and spirit lives on in her husband of 47 years, 7 kids, 17 grand-kids, sister, in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephew…all of those who love and miss her dearly.

The kids decided to keep the blog going in the same spirit with which it was started…to connect, appreciate, laugh…and most of all, love.

  1. Hi Eileen,
I love the title to your blog. What at tribute to your character and personality that you will dance through the storm and not sit idly on the sidelines. You and Bert are in my thoughts and prayers.

    Love, Kathy

  2. Hi Eileen,

Now that the holidays (and birthdays) are past, I can stop running around like a chicken. I was back and forth to the Bay Area a lot. I hope you are doing well. You sound upbeat. Let me know if you feel like a visit one of these days.
    Love and hugs to you.
    Carol
